"Good product, until I discovered something better." 2010-10-29

I love my Keurig brewer, and have tried pretty much most if not all of the reusable K-Cup product out on the market including the My K-Cup. I've been using the My K-Cup for the longest time since I can use my own favorite coffee, it has been a work horse for me with daily use.

But I've recently discovered the Solofill Cup product, this product works better, it's easier to use and makes a much darker cup of coffee for me. Looks like someone built a better mouse trap.

"Finally figured out how to get a good cup of coffee!" 2010-10-10

I bought one of these when I purchased my B-40 elite. With the first use water and coffee grounds spilled out of the top and sides of the filter and holder and produced a weak cup of coffee full of grounds. I was going to return it but decided to call customer service and they told me to pull the rubber gasket that surrounds the needle on top down about halfway to help create a tighter seal. Tried that and it helped keep the water from spilling out all over the place but I still had a very weak cup of coffee. I read on a post somewhere to buy a 1/2L flat rubber washer from the hardware store and put it in the indentation on the top of the lid of the K-cup. It fits and works pefectly! You can't imagine how happy I was to see that nice dark liquid pouring out of the brewer and into my coffee cup! I just bought two more (just the inner baskets) so that I can always have one clean and ready to fill with my Peet's coffee.

"Product makes K-cup machine affordable and environmentally sound" 2010-10-08

I really wanted the ease of the K-cup coffee machine. My husband and I don't like the same kinds of coffee, rarely drink more than one cup, and like to make it fast and take it to go, and we're terrible about cleaning the coffee maker. But K-cups are SO expensive, and create SO much waste. Here's the solution! It works perfectly. I'm getting a few extra baskets so I can reserve two for tea, and keep a couple more pre-loaded with coffee and ready for the morning rush out the door.

"Reusable!" 2010-10-08

The Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter is ingenious in that you can use any coffee you choose, and not have to use those wasteful K-Cups that Keurig makes that are unrecyclable. Using the K-cup there is no waste, no plastic pods to trash, and you can use the spent coffee grounds to make amazing compost.

We've used the My K-Cup for several years now, the only difficulty we've encountered is that if you twist the cover on too tight, you can crack it. You do need to remove the black plastic K-Cup holder from the coffeemaker's filter assembly before using the reusable coffee filter. The filter is easy to clean, and if you're only wanting one cup of coffee it really is very little extra work to use over the wasteful pods.

We have purchased several filters to go with the housing and this enables the coffee to dry before having to dump out, which results in much less mess. You can buy the filters separately from the plastic housing.

"This is awesome ...but" 2010-10-05

I love this filter! Yes the 1st and 2nd tries were messy and slightly frustrating, however when I put the correct amount of coffee AND made sure the lid was screwed on correctly it worked flawlessly! When the manufacturer suggests 2.7 tablespoons they MEAN 2.7 tablespoons! Too much and the coffee grounds end up in your cup. Another very important thing is making sure the lid is on tightly, that will prevent the "spewing" of coffee all over the place!

Overall a wonderfulreplacement for the k~cups!
