"Terrific carousel for K cups! LOVE it!" 2010-10-15
By Nancy L. Johnson (Des Moines, IA)
This is a super nice item that holds a lot of k cups and looks great. I keep the regular on one side and the decaf on the other ... much easier to find what I want than using the round spinning carousel. I love it!

"Keurig Carousel Tower" 2010-09-30

I love this carousel because it is compact yet holds 15 K-cups on each side. It also is attractive in my kitchen. The vendor was very prompt in shipping the order to me.

I love this Kcup holder, its footprint on my counter hardly takes up any space,

I really like the way it looks too .... delighted I bought it!

"Kerig tower" 2010-09-25
By Rondalangley513
There are a lot of towers/holders to choose from, but I have to tell you, we love this tower. It takes awhile to use up all of the k-cups so I am not having to refill it continually and it saves counter space. It also looks really nice, which is a plus.

"Decanter lid didn't fit well - caused basket overflow" 2010-10-25
By tnunnster (Columbia, MD USA)
I like this coffee maker for it's delayed-timer, 4-cup capacity. However, the first shipment from Amazon came with a decanter with a poor fitting lid that failed to prop up the pour-and-go valve in the filter basket, causing the basket to overflow and grounds to pour into the decanter with the coffee. I sent it back to Amazon and had the same problem with the replacement. As a last resort, I contacted the Mr.Coffee people and they sent me a replacement decanter with a proper fitting lid. In my opinion, Amazon should return their entire stock to Mr.Coffee and get them to replace all of the decanters so Amazon customers don't have to deal with this problem. Other than that, it's a good coffee maker.

"Practical for an office" 2010-10-22
By Alex (New Jersey, USA)
I've only had this coffee maker for a couple of weeks but in that time have used it almost every day at work. For the very low price, it's very good. I only wish I could get a full two mugs of coffee out of it. I drink my coffee black so the capacity doesn't quite get me to two full mugs. That's no big deal as I probably drink too much coffee anyway. The small footprint is nice in that it's easy to shove this device into a corner of a desk and forget about it when not in use.

"Tiny coffee maker..." 2010-10-20
By Scott (Dumont, NJ United States)
Completely disappointed with this product. It claims to be a 4 cup coffee maker. The carafe is TINY. It holds just over 2 cups of water. That is NOT a 4 cup capacity. Flagrant false advertising. MAYBE 4 espresso sized cups, but not even 2 cups of coffee. This might be alright for a single person, maybe in a dorm room. But not for any more than one person. This is going back unused for failing to be what it claims to be.

"Great coffee maker" 2010-10-19
By Hadley Jane
This is a great coffee maker for one or two people, since it is much smaller. I like the automatic timer, clock, and easy use. Great buy!

"Great little coffeemaker" 2010-10-14
By CountChoculitis
Great for my school apartment, nice and small. One of the cheapest I could find that actually has a programmable starter.

Only con so far after a week is that the coffee is not that hot when it first brews. I can literally drink it without burning my mouth as soon as it gets done brewing, which is a con for me because I usually put it in a mug to sip on during class so I want it to be hot. You have to leave it on the warmer pad for 5-10 minutes for it to actually be hot.

This is a good variety of coffees. My husband loves bold flavors so this works for him, but none of them are too bold for me. Maybe the Kenya blend is a tad bit bold for me, but the others are awesome.

"Senseo Coffee" 2010-09-11
By OldeBeachBum
I've been using a Senseo coffee machine for a number of years now in Europe and now that I'm stateside I was relieved at being able to find a Senseo machine for 110 V power. I heartily recommend it. Now, the variety pack gives you the opportunity to try out various coffees that are available for the machine. The wonderful thing about a Senseo versus the other modern machines are that you aren't tied down to coffee of that brand. This pack is great and the coffee is so good that I can drink it black and for me, that's saying something.

"My 2 cents.." 2010-10-27
By malenkov (Midland Park, NJ United States)
This item yields excellent coffee as long as you have good quality beans, way better than Starbucks in my opinion. Be careful with the handle though when you tighten it. This is my second moka express purchase because I broke the handle.

"Great Coffee" 2010-10-26
By Matthew Pearson (Omaha, Nebraska United States)
This thing makes awesome coffee! I am currently borrowing one from a friend to see how I like it. The first batch was a bit bitter (I've seen complaints of this in other reviews), but I turned the stove from medium-high to medium and that was great. I also tried, as per a recommendation on another site, put in a tsp of sugar (in a 3 cup maker). It might be slower than a big espresso machine, but I'd bet that the whole set up, making, and cleanup is a lot faster. These things are a breeze to clean out, even easier than my Cory vacuum pot.

I love my Bialetti espresso coffee pot that I purchased from Amazon.com. It is made of a very heavy gauge of aluminum, ulike other flimsy ones, it is imported from Italy and makes the best expresso ever!

The one thing I'd like to add to all the great reviews is this. You need to buy the bodum porcelain cups. The volume put out matches perfectly with the cups capacity.
Buy these together and you'll have a perfect coffee experience.

"Classic coffee maker" 2010-10-18
By Shala Kerrigan (Anchorage)
My mom used to make coffee in one of these style coffee makers as a special treat for she and I when I was girl, and I've always had one. But I misplaced mine a while back and just finally replaced it with this model.

It works just wonderfully. Fill the bottom with cold water, put grounds in the filter basket, screw on the top, put it over a low flame on my gas range. Give it about 7-8 minutes and there is wonderful coffee. The scent of coffee made this way fills your house. The flavor is great too if you're using good quality beans you like because the extraction is steamed and works fairly quickly once it starts, the beans release good flavor and a bit of coffee oils into the finished coffee. One of the best ways to have a nice full flavored cup of coffee.

Easy to use, easy to clean. Don't put this in the dishwasher. Just give it a good rinse. If it does need more, use a clean, wet, soft cloth or sponge, the sort you would use on a non-stick pan.

My husband lived in Italy for a while and he really appreciates a good cup of coffee made this way as well.

Very recommended.

"over priced" 2010-10-21
By Anna M. Leuenberger
I think these tablets are over priced for a cleaning product. I plan to use some of the less expensive tablets to compare and will check back here soon. $ stars because they do keep the machine functioning well. However our daughter has never cleaned her Jura Capresso in 4 years and only had one minor clog which rectified itself with a little water flush.

The Jura machine is great but , as with all mechanical devices, you must perform regular maintanence. The cleaning tablets and the instruction booklet make this process relatively simple.

When we used our last cleaning tablet for our Jura Capresso maker, we logged onto Amazon to find more tablets. We ordered it on May 12th; the order shipped on the 13th and we received it on the 15th of May. We couldn't have asked for anything better as far as timing on the order. We are now stocked with cleaning tablets that work perfectly with our perfect capresso maker!!

"Coffee/spice grinder" 2010-09-23
By Granny (New Jersey)
This grinder came at the right time. Grand-daughter wanted to make a pie and I did not have ground cloves. Did the job quickly. A little hard to clean, blades very sharp but realized when I was doing the job it was no worse than cleaning my blender blades. Not as noisy as I thought. I considered it a good purchase for the money.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this grinder performed, but more so, that it is relatively quiet for a grinder. I was expecting horrid sounds, but it is not too bad. It is great for the money.

STAINLESS STEEL BACKPACK TUMBLER,

Amazon.com Review

Virtually unbreakable, this lightweight, vacuum-insulated thermos travels to work or your favorite recreation spot. On arrival, and for hours afterward, coffee, tea, or soup will still be hot. Or lemonade, pasta salad, or a sports drink will still be chilled. Compact (7 inches high) and shapely, this thermos has a "waist" for firm gripping indented in its satin-finish exterior and tough, nonslip, black plastic top and bottom. There's a choice of two twist tops, one for coffee and another, with a stainless steel strainer, for tea--each has a sip-hole, and a cap twists onto either to prevent spills. Fine threading ensures tops and cap seal tightly, while the smooth interior cleans with sponge or cloth. Preheating or prechilling with hot or cold water is recommended. --Fred Brack

"Great product!" 2010-10-14
By Nicole
I love this thermos. Tea stays hot in it all day long, and it has a very tight seal. I can bike to work with it in my pannier, and it never spills.

It could improve in one small way: if the defuser , the mouthgard, and the lid could all screw into each other so that all three items could fit on the thermos at one time. At this point, only the defuser or the mouthgard can be on the thermos at one time. This is minorly inconvenient, because I cannot bring the defuser along with me for a second infusion if I want more tea at work, but otherwise, this is a really great product.

"Tea Thermos great review" 2010-10-11
By liucynthia11
This product was in great condition and works great for me since I'm a heavy tea drinker. It's incredible at keeping the drink warm even after a few hours. The only thing is just more a characteristic of the product itself, but I'm not a big fan of having to switch the top after refilling water and letting the tea brew in order to drink it...it's a bit of a hassle, but overall, I'm quite pleased with this thermos!

"No leaks... keeps coffee hot!" 2010-10-02
By SMT
This is a great product. We now own 4 and my husband and I each take one filled with an espresso or latte to work in the morning. Drinks stay hot for hours and, and the thermos NEVER leaks (as long as you put the top on correctly). We love them. The only thing to note is that they are relatively small, so if you are a 3 cup per morning coffee drinker, you won't like this one. That said, it is plenty big for a double latte and the compact size is a great fit for any lunch bag or work bag.

"Great Thermos" 2010-08-27
By Savaholic
I was looking for a replacement to my typical mug and drop in tea infuser as it was getting pretty bad. This thermos definitely fit the bill nicely. It keeps my tea hot while keeping the outside nice and cool to the touch (which can lead to a burnt tongue if you are not careful). It cleans well and provides a decent amount of room for tea leaves (it could be slightly bigger though). Cleaning is a snap. My only two gripes are that it does take quite a few steps to brew the tea. You have to actually change the top and take the lid and move it from one top to the other. Providing a second lid would have made it a little better. Also trying to tell when to stop filling the thermos with the tea infuser still on is a bit of a pain, but you get the hang of it. All in all I am pretty happy with this purchase.

PS - As an added bonus the thermos works very well as a bell:)

"Quality item" 2010-07-30
By Tezza (USA)
Quality item all the way. I primarily use it to sip cold water or hot tea.
I thought the item was a little small but in fact I rarely finish the whole contents off. I think if I had an option on a 16 ounce size I would consider it, so I knocked off one star because of the size.

All said and done however, it makes a nice gift or something to keep for yourself.

"Nice grind and brew" 2010-10-29
By deb57
This is my second grind and brew by Cuisinart. The first one was the DGB-600BC and was very unhappy. It was very difficult to clean and after using for a few months the hopper kept getting stuck. I called Cuisinart and they sent me a new hopper. It worked for a few months and the same thing happened. This time when I called I asked if I could upgrade to the newer model. I paid the difference and got this coffee maker. This is so much nicer than the previous model. I don't have to clean the hopper after every use and the coffee tastes great. This pot seems to pour better also. I would recommend this to anyone.

"Stuck in the grind!" 2010-10-27
By Nothappy
This coffee maker is extremely frustrating. I tried returning it and they wouldn't take it back. The grinder jams up depending on the type of coffee bean and it is EXTREMELY difficult to get cleared out. I contacted Cuisinart and they asked me to review the DVD to fix the problem (obviously I'm not the only one having it). Also, the coffee doesn't stay hot in the Thermal container. I like my coffee hot not luke warm. I will never recommend this product for anyone!

"Terrible Grind and Brew - Don't waste your money!" 2010-10-26
By Janica (Seattle, WA)
We had an older Cuisinart Grind and Brew for 5 years, till the grinder stopped working. We loved that coffee pot!! I decided to give the newer model with the burr grinder a chance. I liked that you didn't have to clean the grinder each time and could store beans on the top. I kept this unit for 2 weeks, before deciding to return it. The grinder kept getting clogged and causing it to brew weak coffee.

This machine seems to be a great idea with an extremely poor execution. Too bad! I went back and bought the older style machine to replace it.

"Excellent coffeemaker" 2010-10-25
By Reginald Isaac
This is an A+ unit! I love the coffee it brews. My only complaint is dribbly way that the carafe pours. Since that is a relatively minor factor in comparison to the quality of the coffee, I recommend this coffeemaker without hesitation.

"A harsh mistress" 2010-10-20
By Bill Tarman (Columbus, OH)
If you're a 'Felix' of The Odd Couple, you will love this device. Each day you will get to engage in a five to ten minute cleaning ritual of all the parts. On the other hand if you are more like the Oscar character, in a short while, this coffee maker won't because it will be completely plugged up.

The places you will need to clean daily are the rotating mechanism that sits atop the basket, the underside of the coffee maker top part just above this mechanism, and as with other coffee makers the basket, pot, and pot's lid.

The rotating mechanism was designed by someone who never thought it would have to be cleaned. It has many crevices, nooks and crannies which can only be accessed by a Q-tip. You can soak it in soapy water but oils from coffee beans tend to stay put. It must be THOUROGHLY dried before using it again, otherwise, ground coffee will stick to it.

The lid appears unecessarily complex but can be cleaned. It restricts the flow of coffee, so don't be in a hurry for that first cup. If you tip the pot to speed the flow, coffee will pour out of the top of the lid wherever it feels like going (never in the cup).

The pot itself is designed so that a small amount of coffee remains in the pot. Presumably, this is so that any grounds which may have found their way into the pot won't get out into the cup. Still, it leaves a few swallows unless you take the lid off and turn the pot completely upside down.

The underside of the top of the maker will be coated with fine powder. There is a chute where the ground coffee is sent into the basket and, depending upon the kind of beans used, you will need to clean it at least once a week and most likely every few days (for example, Starbucks' French roast).

Because you can only set the maker for even cups (2, 4, 6 etc) you will have to experiment should you want an odd number of cups. For 7 cups, you must set the dial to 6 and choose 'strong' or to 8 and choose weak or whatever combination you find by experiment works for your particular taste.

The coffee produced is good but I can't say it's that much better, if at all, than the $40 Melitta grind and brew which had the whirling arm in the basket. Moreover for all the pain and agony in cleaning the Cuisinart, it's not worth the extra humdred plus dollars.

"Durgol Swiss Espresso Special Decalcifier --"Cleans like a white tornado"!" 2010-10-17
By Kathleen Kay Nishiyori
I have to admit I'm lazy when it comes to decalcifying. It is necessary, however. My Francis!Francis! X5 was slowing down on the steaming. I used Durgol Swiss Espresso Special Decalcifier (can't beat free shipping from Amazon) according to Durgol's instructions, cleaned the steam nozzle and stem with a metal tip cleaner and POW! Next time I used my machine, the steam came out like a firehose! I can pump out lattes at less than half the time I could before. Be sure to note each bottle is single-use only, so you get two descalings per box. Anyone with a nice espresso machine should spend the time and money on maintenance with a quality product such as Durgol.

"Easy Decalcifier" 2010-09-07

This product is good for any calcium-clogged, small diameter tube, as in a espresso maker....my coffee maker was so clogged that I thought I'd be in for a very expensive repair. After using this product, my coffee maker is working like it never has. The only problem with the product is that it is slightly caustic and one needs to run lots of water through the system to get the taste out of it.

"Great decalcifier!" 2010-08-19
By sulyb
I love my home espresso machine! Every morning I make myself a mocha and ease into the day. Keeping my machine clean with the Durgol decalcifier has been easy and effective. Best of all, my mochas taste just the same after cleaning. My espresso maker is now two years old and still happily cranking out delicious mochas with cleanings every two or three months.

Excellent product. After decaling with this product, I disassembled the boiler. It was spotlessly clean. Just be sure to flush your espresso machine with *plenty* of clean water until all of it is thoroughly flushed out so there's no remining taste of it.

"Excellent!!!" 2009-03-01
By E. Sharon (Irvine, CA)
Another great coffee from Lavazza. I usually use the Cafe Espresso blend but his one is even better.
Finer than the Cafe Espresso, more crema and a more refined taste.
I brew it daily with my Gaggia Revolution, delightful!

"Leaks, leaks, leaks." 2010-10-18
By MamaGove
Our coffee maker just gave out after three years and I'm kind of glad it did because I've wanted to replace it for some time. Ours started leaking about a year and a half ago, though I was convinced that my husband was just being sloppy when he filled up the water the first 6 months we experience leakage. If we had used this machine daily, I'm sure it would have quit much sooner. Also, while the easy fill-up might seem convenient, I find regular coffee makers much easier to fill and clean and I don't think this was worth the trade-off.

Lastly if you have an active toddler this kind of machine is probably a poor fit for you. Non-locking release button+ curious toddler= coffee everwhere. The release function works even when the machine is unplugged and because the machine emanates very little heat, I was always very paranoid that my son would burn himself.

"Only lasted a couple of years" 2010-10-12
By jana
Loved the style of this coffee maker, but as others have noted, it broke down a little over a year. Never had this happen with any of the other carafe types. It was also messy with water leaking, even though I was careful pouring. It's back to the carafe style for me!

"Best coffee maker" 2010-10-11
By Frank
This is the 2nd exact same coffee maker I have purchased...the first one I had for over 3 years and then one day just stopped working. Although, they should last longer, I thought that it was worth every penny and so decided to buy another one. I like it because the coffee stays warm for a long time and does not get the burnt taste. Easy to use and cleans easily. Also, very easy to use.

"Doesn't Last Long" 2010-10-05
By Stephanie Miller
I loved this coffee maker, and the fresh taste even 2 hours later. However, after 10 months, it needed replacing because the machine would no longer uptake all the water to brew, so I would have to turn it off, then on again, approximately 5-6 times to brew 8 cups of coffee. I have since read other issues with this, so if you're going to buy it, buy a new one, with a 3-year long warranty, rather than refurbished, with only a 30 day warranty. Even given how much I like this coffee pot, I will not be buying this kind or brand again, because for this much money, it should last longer than 10 months!

"Junk!" 2010-09-27
By K. Asel
Worst piece of junk I've ever purchased! You can't get a large thermal mug under the spout without removing the tray and after 14 months it stopped working. My Mr. Coffee lasted over 10 years! Guess what coffee maker I'll be purchasing tomorrow! NOT a Cuisinart!

"Good product, but prefer Keurig" 2010-10-26
By M. Mullins
I used to have a Keurig, but the pump went out twice, so I switched to Senseo. I prefer the Keurig and ended up buying a machine made by Cuisineart for Keurig cups in hopes that I won't have any pump problems.

"Great Senseo coffe, can find a little cheaper elsewhere." 2010-10-25
By Bearcat (Ohio)
My wife and I have been drinking Senseo for years. This is the best version of their coffee we have sampled and we use it daily. While it is nice to be able to get a carton with multiple bags you can find it cheaper in brick and mortar stores. As other reviewers have mentioned you can sometimes find this at Target for $3.99 a bag. I wish Amazon would lower the price but we like the convenience of ordering a large package of the coffee so we don't have to trek over to Target just for coffee. Love the medium roast.

"Not any great price" 2010-10-20
By Philly Gator (PA, USA)
I haven't seen any great deals on these pods on Amazon. You can find them for a little less per pack in many retail stores. If you like the convenience of shopping online and having them delivered -- rather than on price alone -- that's different.

"Excellent coffee and value" 2010-10-16
By Colin Walsh (NYC, NY)
This coffee, and method of preparing is simply the best. I will never go back to making pots of coffee. It's better than the K-cups because it does not fill your trash can with plastic and metal. In fact we compost ours. Besides the obvious advantage of making one cup at a time, this coffee simply tastes better. I have found friends that were not coffee drinkers but like this coffee. I brought one of these brewers aboard my last tug boat and the other crew is hooked. Everyone can put in the pod for th brew they like. Some guys insist on strong coffee and some on Starbucks. This brewer allows everyone's idiosyncratic tastes to be accommodated.

Some people criticize the price but I have found it more economical for two reasons: for one you are not pouring any coffee down the drain. Second you only drink coffee when you want it. I usually make a full pot to get an acceptable blend/taste, and I will sit there and stare at it and drink it until the pot is finished. No more.

The only thing this is not suited for is when you have a dinner party or more than one or two coffee drinkers. Then a pot type brewer is better.

Another tip is to buy the extra large reservoir, this thing is cool. You will walking to the sink half as many times to refill it.

One final tip: we have a couple of plastic universal pods. You can fill them with whatever coffee you want. We keep these around in case we run out of pods, we just throw some Cafe Bustelo in them, and we can have coffee. However with auto delivery from Amazon we hardly ever run out, unless I take a bunch out to the tug:)

"Great & easy coffee" 2010-10-04
By Susie2878
Amazon price is cheaper than the grocery store. I do auto ship, so it's even cheaper and I never run out of coffee. The coffee is good and so much easier than making a whole pot for one person.

Somehow my original filter was misplaced. After a week of just the paper filters, it was time to get a new Cuisinart filter. What a difference!

 "Cuisinart GTF Filter" 2010-09-12
By Denise Olinger (COLLINS, MO, US)
These coffee filters are great as long as you are careful in the washing of them. As with anything you hope to use for a long time. I believe I am using the same one I received with the coffee maker for about a year now. Now need to use paper filters, so maybe it should be considered green technology.

"Cusinart GTF filter" 2010-09-12
By S. Tiegs
Disposable filters are not that expensive but I still dont like the idea of continously spending money on them. My only concern with a reusable filter would be germs however, the water going through it is ususally hot so that would kill the germs. I guess I have mixed feelings. you do have to take time to clean them.
